Arches National Park is a fascinating place filled with over 2,000 arches, large and small. The fanciful shapes caused by the erosion and collapse of layers of sandstone bring to mind a fairy tale land of wonder and imagination. A lot of the formations have names and legends attached to them, but there are literally hundreds of amazing arches, which in any other place would be the centerpiece of a tourist attraction, but here it's just another arch.
