Crazy Horse Memorial

In contrast to Mount Rushmore, the Crazy Horse Memorial is entirely funded by donations and admission fees. Besides the carving, there is a university, housing, medical center - all dedicated to benefit Native Americans. Korczak Ziolkowski, one of the sculptors who worked on Mount Rushmore, was asked to create a memorial to Native Peoples. His carving has grown into the foundation we see today.
